About Project
The objective of this project was to remove the existing deck and construct a 25′-6″ x 10′ sunroom addition with a walk out basement on the north side of the home. A new deck, featuring Trex decking and cable railing, that is approximately 15′ x 18′, was also constructed. The scope of work included:
Exterior Work:
• The sliding patio door in the kitchen was replaced.
• The existing window on the west wall of the main level living room was resized and replaced.
• The existing brick and stone were removed where the new addition attaches to the existing home and on the west wall on the rear of the home.
• The aluminum siding on the west end gable over the garage roof was removed.
• The new addition, existing west wall on the rear of the home, and the gable end over the garage roof feature LP SmartSide board and batten siding painted to match the existing garage doors.
Interior Remodel:
• The existing bookcase and half wall, in the main level living room, was removed and replaced with a custom metal guardrail.
• LVP flooring was installed in the existing main level living room and the main level of the new addition.
• The existing woodwork and hearth were removed from the main level fireplace, and a new stone hearth was installed.
Interior Finish Work:
• The main level of the addition was trimmed to match the existing home.
• The existing main level living room and main level of the new addition were painted.
