OUR TEAM
Eric Payne founded Payne Restoration in 2006 and rebranded the company to PR Design Build in early 2020. Eric holds an MBA from Davenport University and is a Licensed Michigan Residential Builder, Licensed Michigan Real Estate Salesperson, and Certified Remodeler (EPA-Lead Safe RRP).
Eric enjoys helping customers take an idea and transforming it into a buildable plan through correlation, design, budgeting, and drawings. Eric enjoys spending time outdoors, planting trees, hunting, fishing, and traveling.

DENVER DYKSTRA
PRODUCTION MANAGER
Denver Dykstra brings his extensive experience in the trades to PR Design Build, having worked in the industry since 2014 and joining our team in 2016. Specializing in finish carpentry and custom building, Denver’s expertise lies in turning client ideas into reality, meticulously crafting projects from scratch based on a simple picture or concept.
In 2021, Denver transitioned to the role of Project Manager, combining his field experience with his passion for overseeing projects from start to finish. He finds great joy in watching each piece of the project come together, orchestrating the process with precision.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Denver’s hobbies include working out and living a healthy lifestyle, working on cars and boats, and being out on Lake Michigan every chance he gets.

SALES/PROJECT MANAGER
With 6 years of building industry experience and 3-4 years in sales, Blake Ledger is a knowledgeable professional at PR Design Build. Growing up with a father in the industry, Blake’s passion for construction ignited early on. Starting in 2013, he developed a strong foundation in carpentry, finishing work, and sales.
Blake’s true passion lies in problem-solving, collaborating closely with clients and contractors, and creating vibrant living spaces. His hands-on trades experience, combined with his sales background and positive attitude, allows him to navigate complex projects with ease and deliver exceptional results.
Outside of work, Blake embraces his love for the outdoors through hunting and fishing. He also finds relaxation and enjoyment in playing golf. His positive and upbeat attitude shines through in all aspects of his life.

Benjamin Andersen brings over two decades of construction expertise to the table. A Michigan local with roots in Wisconsin, he has risen through the ranks from humble beginnings to project management.
At PR Design Build, he values the shared ethical standards and commitment to quality. Benjamin is also an auto enthusiast, enjoys DIY projects, and treasures family time outdoors in Michigan’s pleasant months.
AUSTIN DYKSTRA
PROJECT MANAGER
Austin Dykstra is a seasoned professional with nearly a decade of carpentry experience. As a Lead Carpenter at PR Design Build, he oversees and executes diverse construction projects with precision and enthusiasm.
Starting his carpentry journey in 2014, Austin’s passion for the craft grew through practical experience and specialized training, including various OSHA courses for safety protocols and advanced classes in Lead Renovation and Framing.
Outside of work, Austin finds joy in outdoor activities like hunting, fishing, and boating, which allow him to connect with nature and recharge. His dedication to tackling new challenges and finding innovative solutions reflects his enthusiasm for his work.
With Austin’s expertise and commitment, PR Design Build can rely on his skills to deliver successful projects, showcasing his craftsmanship and attention to detail.
NATHAN BRANN
PROJECT MANAGER
Nathan has been in construction since he was 16 years old, having learned foundational skills from working with his dad growing up. He served as a foreman for a welding company for 10 years, handling custom projects. Following that, he worked as a project manager for 4 years in residential construction.
In his free time, Nathan enjoys standup paddle boarding, hiking, pickleball, and working on custom carpentry projects at home.
He recently got married on June 22 and moved to West Michigan from the east side of the state. Nathan is looking forward to starting a new chapter in his life!
LOGAN BOUWMAN
PROJECT MANAGER
Logan was raised on a farm, where he learned the values of hard work and commitment. At the age of 16, he followed in his father’s footsteps, who taught him the art of fine cabinetry, quality furniture making, and various aspects of building. These early experiences laid the foundation for Logan’s career.
Later, Logan established his own company, specializing in remodeling and custom framing. His passion for craftsmanship and dedication to quality have been the driving forces behind his work.
In his free time, Logan enjoys being in nature, traveling, boating, and spending time with his wife, family, and their two Rottweilers, Kai and Malu.
As a Project Manager at PR Design-Build, Logan is excited to apply his field experience to the company’s upcoming projects and contribute to the team’s success.
MATT RAYMOND
PROJECT MANAGER
Matt lives by a simple yet powerful motto: “Just care.” He believes in truly caring about people’s experiences, recognizing that we’re all individuals with unique talents and stories. With over 9 years of experience in remodeling and construction, Matt brings not only expertise but also a deep commitment to helping others succeed. His attention to detail and passion for delivering high-quality results make him a tremendous asset to our team—and to your project.
Matt finds fulfillment in setting others up for success, using his knowledge and insight to guide projects from concept to completion. His thoughtful approach ensures each client feels heard, supported, and confident in the process.
When he’s not on a job site, you’ll find Matt outdoors with his loving wife and their four kids, camping and hiking every chance they get. Faith is also a central part of Matt’s life, and he and his family are actively involved in their church community.

With 10 years of experience in both residential and commercial interior design, Courtney brings a keen eye for detail, a passion for functional aesthetics, and a deep understanding of design trends to every project. From transforming homes to creating inspiring commercial spaces, Courtney specializes in crafting environments that reflect both style and purpose.
Throughout her career, Courtney has worked with a diverse range of clients, seamlessly blending creativity with practicality to deliver stunning, customized interiors. Her expertise spans space planning, material selection, furniture curation, and project management, ensuring each project is executed with precision and excellence.
Known for her collaborative approach, Courtney prioritizes client vision, guiding them through the design process with thoughtful solutions that enhance both aesthetics and functionality. Courtney is dedicated to creating timeless, impactful interiors that leave a lasting impression.
When Courtney isn’t creating floorplans and selecting finishes; you can find her keeping busy with her husband Eric and daughter Lettie! As a family they enjoy taking their pup – Luna for walks at the park, spending time outdoors and spending time with family!
JOSH TAYLOR
LEAD CARPENTER
With nearly a decade of expertise in carpentry, my journey began immediately after graduating high school in 2015. My passion for this craft was ignited in high school, where my first encounter with a woodworking shop class led to advanced courses in woodwork and building trades, culminating in an OSHA certification.
Beyond professional commitments, I am deeply engaged in woodworking as a personal hobby, often assisting friends and family with various carpentry projects. My love for nature extends to hunting and hiking, exploring the tranquility of the woods. Additionally, I’m cultivating a newfound interest in nature photography, capturing the beauty of the natural world through my lens.

Adam is a skilled and detail-oriented carpenter. His journey began by working alongside his father on side jobs, developing a passion for the craft. Adam finds joy in observing the complete transformation of spaces during remodels, from start to finish.
Adam’s expertise shines in trim work and cabinet installations. He takes pride in his meticulous attention to detail, creating beautifully finished spaces. His dedication to delivering high-quality results is unmatched.
Outside of work, Adam enjoys spending time in the great outdoors. Whether it’s hunting, fishing, or simply enjoying nature. He and his wife and their two Great Danes also enjoy taking leisurely walks together.

CARPENTER
Starting his construction career as a laborer for a large commercial construction company, he quickly advanced to steel stud framing and drywall installation. Eager to expand his expertise, he transitioned to a company specializing in commercial timber framing and high-end finish work. During this time, he contributed to several notable projects, including the Kalamazoo Exchange Building and the Critter Barn in Zeeland.
Driven by a passion for craftsmanship and attention to detail, he sought to further refine his skills and embraced a role with a small residential remodeling company. There, he broadened his experience across a wide variety of remodeling tasks, appreciating the diversity and challenges that each day brings. He values the opportunity to continually learn, hone his abilities, and take pride in delivering quality work that leaves clients satisfied.
Outside of his professional pursuits, he enjoys an active lifestyle filled with camping, fishing, hiking, kayaking, traveling, exploring new places, and discovering local eateries.

Sue Schaafsma, a Michigan native, has been a proud resident of West Michigan since 1984. With a remarkable 30 years of experience in office management, Sue thrives on client interaction and providing exceptional customer service. She finds immense satisfaction in the design-build aspect of the business, helping clients transform their visions into reality. Sue’s dedication to PR Design Build is deeply rooted in the company’s small, family-owned atmosphere that feels like an extended family to her.
Outside of the office, Sue cherishes moments spent with her family, particularly her granddaughters Ellory and Harper. In her leisure time, she enjoys engaging in water aerobics, visiting Lake Michigan, and playing pickleball, an activity that brings her joy and keeps her active.

MARKETING COORDINATOR
Sydney, a recent graduate of Grand Valley State University, is an emerging talent in the field of advertising and public relations. Armed with a Bachelor’s degree, Sydney’s passion lies in the creative aspects of marketing, especially in building and enhancing brand identities. Her academic journey at Grand Valley State not only honed her skills but also ignited a love for innovative marketing strategies.
Now based in Grand Rapids, Sydney is enthusiastic about stepping into the professional world for the first time. Her role involves managing social media, contributing to marketing efforts, and playing a key part in planning team events. With a fresh perspective and a drive to excel, Sydney is eager to embrace the challenges and opportunities that come with her new position.
When she’s not working, Sydney loves exploring the outdoors with her dog Charlie. Her weekends are often spent hiking through the scenic trails of Grand Rapids or discovering unique finds in local thrift shops.
